I have GA-8VT880 Series Motherboard. It supports 4 184-pin DDR Dimm Sockets.
Since i cannot i find new DDR 1G on the market here , can i use DDR2

If you have enough memory right now to at least run, go to this web site. They will try to determine what kind of memory you can use.

Also, below is an article from Wikipedia about DDR2. It says:
Backwards compatibility
DDR2 DIMMs are not backwards compatible with DDR DIMMs. The notch on DDR2 DIMMs is in a different position than DDR DIMMs, and the pin density is slightly higher than DDR DIMMs. DDR2 is a 240-pin module, DDR is a 184-pin module

no - ddr2 has 240 pins
