The United States defeated Saddam and his army, and turned the country to a freely elected government (remember the blue thumbs?). It’s now up to the Iraqi people to take control of their country and establish peace. Peace cannot be forced on any people by a foreign army. We can help them police their country for a while, but it is really up to them now. Don’t let the liberals snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

I don't agree with this war in Iraq, but Afghanistan is a different story, it had to be done, and with the information the president had at the time, did he have a choice? on Iraq,? the Jewish news's media say we are losing in Iraq? all independent news's sources say differently?? we are there now and we had better win or the Muslims will be here shortly as they will surely feel they can take America easily, and at the rate I see our people wanting to quit and run they just might be right, after all we did not win in Korea, Viet Nam, a flea bitten scum bag Somalia

Meanwhile, former chief UN weapons inspector Hans Blix has issued some of his harshest criticism to date of the Iraq war. In an interview with a Danish newspaper this week, Blix calls the war "a pure failure". Blix says although Saddam Hussein would still be in power had the US not invaded, "What we have gotten is undoubtedly worse".

We have succeeded at spending oil at a record rate.
We have succeeded at slicing through the ranks of men and women at an alarming rate.
We have succeeded in showing the world that there are people who might just back down - again - from a fight.
We have succeeded at not realizing too soon what to expect to happen in Baghdad.
...and we are succeeding at paying the price for Britain and France placing the dispersed Jews right smack dab in the middle of millions of ticked off Muslims, who want them wiped off the map.
It is not the American Soldiers who are failing, but the Iraqis, who continue to support their extremely violent brothers and fathers.
The American people, as a whole, are failing to show the world, in peacetime, why democracy is good. They see us worship idols, all of our sinful lifestyles on tv, which only foments the hate inside them.
America does good things for the world, but there have grown so many bad things, that national pride is hard to protect.
We cannot expect the world to respect the US - The US must give the world more reasons why they should.

There is no reason to be in this War the President just wants the money in his back pocket. picking a fight with every one is not a simple solution to the matter the old saying is "Can't we all just get along?" so I have to agree this war smells like a failure.

655,000 dead Iraqi, 3000 dead Americans, many, many more wounded and deformed for the rest of their lives. Turmoil still exist as the insurgency has been stepped up during the last couple of months. For a war that should have never been. I got to give this war a big F. I don't think I would approve of any war based on the lies of the president.

Id say that it is a success.would you call finding and capturing saddam a faliure?I personally think people who keep bitching about the war but say they support our troops that are over there dont support them at all cause our troops are doing what they believe in.Thats what im seeing in almost all the people responding to this question. Its just people like you who always F***in B**** about the war who are really making it a faliure.

It all depends who you're asking. For boosh and his cronies, it's a success. they are getting richer by the minute. For the American people, it's a collosal waste of money, American lives and it's accomplishing nothing, "0", zilch! It has absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 and our men and women are dying. If it was to fight terrorism, they're in the wrong place. Our military should be defending our borders and/or in Afganistan hunting down bin laden.

The war was a huge success. The occupation however is a miserable failure.
