First there is only one GOD, and seeing as muslims bang there head on the sand 5 times a day to worship him, who thinks he's soooooooo great. And what has all this head banging done, let's see, Muslim religion is split into many tribes and factions and are constantly at logger heads with each other, because they can't decide one way to interpret the Koran, in fact they go so far as to say that muslims from another faction are not muslims. Thus they have no unity, Alot of Arab muslims think that they are the only muslims and look down upon muslims from other ethnic backrounds, in fact alot bring them to their country and use them as basically slave labour. When did Saudi abolish slavery? The 70's? Second, the USA has got their own oil and their closest ally that they share the longest undefended border in the wold with, Canada, has the second largest oil reserves on earth. Third, where do you think all these oil rich nations would be without American investment, technology, and know how, to develop their oil fields and then pay good oll green backs, for THE ONLY LUCRATIVE EXPORT THEY HAVE. I'll tell you where, still locked in the bronze age, when their prophet walked off in to the desert he said "don't do anything until I get back" and they are still waiting. What year is it on the muslim calendar, 1426-1427. No wonder they don't have any religous, political, or national unity, they're 600 years behind the rest of us. I'm not saying that the christian religion is faultless either, but even at the height of the IRA terrorist violence we didn't see 20 plus murders a day, we didn't find headless bodies strewn around our cities, and we didn't abandon dialog to try to end violence, and whether Catholic, Prodestant, Mormon, Jehovah Witness, or any other christian faction, we practice tolerance, acceptance, and most important separate religion from politics. Bishops, cardinals and popes don't rule us or have that much sway in political decisions, we tried that and seen the result 500 years ago. Take off your tunnel vision glasses and look at the whole picture. Twit!

Here's the reason. The actual reason. "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one". 1John 5:19. God doesn't interfere with these things, it's the "wicked one" (the devil). The devil's ploy is to get as many humans away from God as possible. He does this in many ways, but one of the most popular ways is by getting humans to blame God for things that he has no part of, such as your belief that God has dealings with our oil issues.
I suppose I'm a "yank" (but up here in Boston that means you like the NY Yankess) as you define them. But is interesting that the "Bible Belt" is in the south.
Looking into the bible will answer these questions for you, asking us isn't going to the source.

God is not partial. Oil is oil and not American oil. All good things come from God and he gives it freely to everybody. If they believe in American oil, then there is american air, american water, etc. Let's look through God's eyes.

I am so glad Nick c pointed out that the muslim religion has so many different factions. Aren't we Christians lucky that we have no theological differences and know that all the oil really belongs to the good ole USof A and that God merely misplaced it!!

There were recent discoveries of oil available to the US that indicate we have enough oil of our own to last us over a hundred years. But, first we are going to use up all your oil while it's cheap, then when the price jumps way up, we will sell you ours at really profitable prices.

There is plenty of oil under US soil, but since we're such an industrial powerhouse we need more oil than we have so we decided to buy it. You got a problem with that, junior?
