DNA replication is exactly what it's name implies, replicating of DNA....it occurs in the nucleus of the cell....what is it??

DNA unwinds, each side of the double helix is a complimentary strand so one side can be predicted from the other side, the DNA polymerase reads one side and predicts what the other side will be and basically makes a copy.....

DNA replication occurs in the nucleus of dividing cells. What you get is exact copies of the same DNA.
First the DNA has to be opened up. Then, one strand is read and copied in a continuous manner, and the other strand is read and copied in segments. As a result, two new molecules of DNA are formed.
All of this occurs in the S-phase of the cell cycle, before cell division.
