So many black girls in my school are getting their hair dyed blonde and it looks riduculous. Not only that, some the Latina, Asian, and Black women in hollywood have their hair dyed blonde. Is this a a sutble characteristic of self-hate?

I think people enjoy playing dress-up for the sake of enjoyment. I do not see it as a statement of self-hate or a political statement. I prefer to go with natural non permed or non dyed hair. However I can see the fun in experimenting and trying different things. I just say live and let live.

nicely i in my opinion being a non-white guy, dont unique like Blonde women human beings. We would locate them pleasing because a million.we are used to darkish haired, darkish eyed women human beings all round 2. Media promotes blonde hair, blue eyes because the ultimate type of elegance That being suggested, I certainly dont have a decision for Blondes, possibly between white women human beings I have, yet i'd a lot particularly opt for a diminished skinned, darkish haired, darkish eyed, center jap chick than a blonde woman.

i don't think its self hate all the time, its just that people tend to follow what people in the media are doing. If blond hair is in then a lot of people will dye their hair. Just like big butts and full lips are in so people are getting implants and botox. Now those two things might have to deal more with self hate, but not changing the color of your hair.

So many people are unhappy with themselves and jump at the chance to be different. They will do more than just dye their hair blond. They would go under the knife. Other cultures feel that they are not good looking enough so to adopt the white culture makes them fit in. These people are so wrong because you can't run away from who you are. Your true features will always come shining through. Face it, there are somethings about us that we can not change about ourselves no matter how hard we try. We need to love ourselves no matter how we look and to hell with everyone else.

Look I'm a man.... I never understood this. But we see it.

Women just never seem to be happy. Gotta try the latest thing.

errr... but I do prefer blondes... Go figure....

Maybe they are right if that is what they want.
But then there are the short hair craze things.
That ain't comming from the guys.

Naw I just think women are never happy in comparisons with each other and need to be "IN"

it's just fashion i don't think it has anything to do with race for instance where i live (England) it's cool for white woman to dye their hair dark have hair extension and tan their skin darker (also some they want bigger bums, but that's so so). they don't want to be black but that is the fashion at the moment. when the 'look' changes they'll go back to their natural colour hair and skin and think nothing of it. don't ever underestimate the hold fashion has on our lives no matter what race!

I don't think it's about self-hate. I think it is the "in" thing and a lot of people want that especially school girls. It doesn't look good on a lot of people sometimes it looks downright nasty. Some people can look good with it and Some people just don't understand that EVERYTHING does not look good on EVERYBODY ya know?

There's nothing more frustrating than feeling like you have something you can't or shouldn't change because it might look weird. Many people "take the plunge" in hair color to defy this concept.
