I think that this situation in Britain is really complicated. I understand where you are coming from yet i believe that some people genuinelly need to come to this country. i don't belive the country is going to waste, more that it is changing into a more multi-cultural society. Maybe consider moving around the uk, there are some quiet and beautiful places.

What a load of B******S! We are all immigrants in this country, Anglo (Angles, North Europe) Saxon (Saxony, Germany) And Royal family, German, not Windsor that's a made up name, they're from Hanover. It's not immigrants bleeding the country dry, it's our own home grown scumbags. Funny how they are always the ones you see on TV protesting about this issue when the rest of us are at work, trying to make sure there's enough being paid into the system so that they have all that paid, free time to do it! The people coming to the UK are filling the posts that are desperately needing highly qualified people, Doctors, Nurses etc.that both you and I depend on whether we realise it or not. Did you know that things are so bad that Doctors from Germany fly over her regularly to help fill the gaps in our shortages? Hey! Maybe you could do some work in medicine or other socially vital roles? No? Wonder why not.
If you really want to "piss-off" then why don't you? If you really wanted to do it, you wouldn't be here whinging on. But where would you go? Wouldn't you then be an immigrant in whatever country you went to? I wonder if the citizens of your chosen country would regard you as "draining all it's resources"

This is just unnecessary whining from a loser. Those with the right qualifications are being paid execellent packages.
The problem with your type is that you just want to earn more even without working. For one to earn more, you need to hold a qualification and display competence in that field. There are plenty of jobs around, but all you care about is to get £10 or more per hour. Even some UK citizens are not getting this amount, not because of being sidelined by immigrants, but due to lack of skills. So what did you expect employers to do? To just moan like what you are doing, no, they turned to government for help and this is what the latter offered. If you have a better alternative, please, feel obliged and inform your MP. You need to come down from your ivory towers and begin to appreciate what the Poles and other immigrants are doing in sustaining the UK economy.
I do not see how these non- UK citizens are draining all resources. Your complaints lack weight and you utterly show your ignorance as to what is happening to the UK economy. I hope you were even surprised to hear what some city council employees get. Remember, he who dares wins and the UK needs workers not those who whimper and whine.

brother it doesnt matter where you go theyve basicallly opened the boarders ,if you look at the americans theyve joined the forces of the army with the police this is what the nazis did before wwII,the removal of arms which is against the constitution yet there slowly doing it this is what the nazis did and many dictators in history, hitler attacked his own building the reiche stag blamed it on the enemys as a pretext for war all i can say to ya is 9/11 do your research we havent learnt a thing from history. were heading into a world war and people better wake up and stand up for there rights and freedoms before there gone the next attack on the usa and it will be marshall law in that country and you watch as they draft everyone for world domination look up new world order on google video or alex jones martial law these things like imigration just fuel public opinion and this is just a little piece of the big picture.

Yes,you are absolutely right!!!Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am in England!! When I go into my local town,I rarely hear anyone speaking English!!! I am aware that we need SOME immigrants,of course we do,but the huge influx of late is way beyond what we NEED! Immigration HAS to be controlled, its common sense, anyone with half a brain knows that!!With Bulgaria and Romania set to join Europe, the situation is going to get FAR worse! Whatever John Reid say's about the controls he will put into force, it will make no difference whatsoever. The European Unions rule is "free movement" of peoples, within the Union. So how is he going to stop them coming here? He cannot! Those that cannot get work permits will work on the black market.
I cannot wait until this incompetent shower are out of Government.I can only hope my lotto ticket come up trumps tonight, then, like you, I'm on the next plane out of here!!!! Its going to be interesting to see if Mr. Blair, when he leaves office, stay's in the UK!! Bet he doesn't!!!

I wholeheartedly agree.

I wonder if Mr Blair knows that there are skilled, experience young people being pushed out of the job market because the employers will not pay £10 an hour for their skills, but prefer to employ Poles who'll do the job for £4 an hour instead?

This is currently happening to my BF - a trained mechanic with plenty of skill and experience. The last few jobs he's applied for went to Polish immigrants. No more experienced or skilled than him, just cheaper.

What is the point is getting skills and qualifications if you can't USE them because employers prefer to use cheap foreign labour instead?!?

Please Mr Blair either halt the tide of trash that is currently pouring into this country to suck us dry or give us all a few thousand quid (which we've paid over the years in income and council tax) so we can GET OUT and leave you to it.

Agree with dipper dog.

Unless you are a minority group you are ignored and are expected to continue to pay your taxes so that they can be wasted on dross.

How many times have you got letters from the public sector that can be translated into about 15 or so different laguages? You tax is paying for that and will do so unless lazy b******s start learning English.

The influx on non UK citizens is actually saving the country. The NHS would be suffering from a huge shortage of staff and the crops would not have been harvested. The workers are paying income tax so are actually adding to the economy.

You really should be doing the maths yourself before forming your opinions.
