Aren't Republicans and Democrats tired of the same two parties running things the way they always have? Wouldn't someone new, who doesn't have all the political and economical connections and familiar lobbyists, be the best option if we want real change in our leadership and government?

I agree, I'd really like to see someone run and win on a conservative party ticket.

We are. Unfortunately at the state level, the deck is stacked against allowing other parties to run, because of our undemocratic two party system. Most other democratic nations allow multiple parties, because there are not just two ideas or philosophies. Everyone should register independent, until we get viable alternate parties in place. Also, vote for the candidate that best reflects your own view.

It might actually mean giving Americans a real choice. Thirty five percent of the members of Congress are millionaires. One percent of Mr. and Mrs. America are millionaires. There is a third party, Independents. Those who are commonly referred to as swing voters. I ditched the Democrats years ago because I felt they no longer represented me. The Republicans never represented my views of America, so they were never in consideration. Check out what Arizona has done to clean-up their elections.

The two big parties have been entrenched with the rich for over a hundred years. The people with the money don't want a change. And average people can't get the money together for the media advertising it would take to convince voters.

Social Apathy... these people who mouth off on yahoo don't even vote. They'd have to leave their house and lose an hour of their personal lazy time to do that.

I too wish people CARED about the community they live in. Instead they just let the TV decide what to think.
