yes it can and unless ur period actually shows , u will definately want to retest.

It is VERY rare for a preganancy test to show a false positive. In order for the test to show positive, it had to have detected the pregnancy hormone...It would be more likely to have a false negative for example if the hormone levels were too low at time of testing....but to have a posititve most likely means that you are. Make yourself a doctor appt. now. And Good luck!

A test says you're pregnant when you are actually pregnant. You can never get a false positive.

You must have suspected you were pregnant to take the test so you probably are.
