Yes and it's an irrelevant record. None of the teams who had these long streaks ever went on and won a Cup. Peaking too early, dude.
They won't win the Cup. Almsot every season the losing teams in the Final and Semi-Finals do not go as far the following season. You'll make more money betting against Buffalo to go deep now everyone is ga ga about their streak.
Remember even Philly who have the NHL's longest undefeated streak lost that 1980 Cup Final to the Isles.

Both Atlanta and Buffalo have had 2 days rest, and have no important injuries to worry about going into tonight's game. Both teams have dominated their opponents, with Buffalo scoring wins by a greater margin than Atlanta.
Buffalo has a chance to break the record, but their main advantage so far will also be their weakness: wide open play capitalising on their opponents' mistakes. Atlanta is another young, fast team that plays a similar offence-driven style.
This will be a high scoring game, and Atlanta is no push over. In the end, I think Buffalo will take it, as they have something special to play for. You could suggest they'll choke on the pressure, but they didn't choke games 1-9, game 10 to tie, and they won't in game 11 either.

NO DOUBT, that they will match it if not surpass it.I am gauaranteeing that they will win tonight and break the NHL record. Face the fact that the Habs are HORRIBLE. If im not mistaken the sabres have already played the canadiens and gotten the W. This week is increadibly easy for the best team in the NHL. They also have the best chemistry, leaders, and goalies in the NHL. GO SABRES

They can beat Atlanta, but they'll be in for their biggest test yet.
And setting this record means nothing. Knowing buffalo sports teams they'll fall flat on their a$$'s in the post-season.

of course they'll win. the sabres want to, so they will. and if you thnk tht we wont win the cup justcuz sme other teams had a good start n didnt or cuz we lost to those evil 'canes
