Get her a nice card make sure to tell her how much you love her.
Buy her something like an ornament or smellies. What she is saying really is I dont need anything, and I can't think of anything I want. She will still appreciate knowing that you love her and took the trouble to think about a gift for her at this special time of year.

Make a voucher to give to her along the lines of 'A Whole Day Together' that she can redeem when she wants. And when it happens, the day's on you - it might be a day trip somewhere, or shopping, or a girly pamper day. Give her some memories - you can't put a price on that and mum's like that kind of thing. Bless!

If she says she doesn't need anything, she probably doesn't need anything. However, a CD of her favourite groups back in the days when she was a teenager will always be very welcome. Maybe your mother doesn't want you to spend too much money so really it is the thought that counts. Why not treat her to a bottle of Bio-oil (works beautifully for middle-aged skin) or a visit to the hairdresser? These don't cost much but it shows you care.

My mum says she dosent want anything all the time too. All you should do is buy her perfume or jewlery or something she does as a hobby. Dont keep asking her cus she will get annoyed. Just give her a pleasant surprise.

how about just getting to know your mum, seems a shame that you have no idea what she likes. Maybe a good christmas present would be the two of you getting to know eachother???? just a thought

Find a book with poems about mothers. Or you could make your own collection of motherhood poems and put them into a scrap book for her. She will treasure it always.
