I'm doing an agruementative essay on animal experimentation in canada, and i need to interview someone about the topic. I'm taking a law class so it has to revolve around law, legislation statutes and bills on animal experimentation so if anyone can think of questions to help me that would be great

Ask how many live and how many die.

Things like--what is the need for this experimentation? Is it to discover a cure for a disease or to test mascara? Is there a way to perform the experiment without the use of live animals? If not, how are the animals treated? If the experiment will cause them pain is there any pain management in place? What happens to the animals after they are done being experimented on, meaning where will they be retired to or will they just be killed?

I hate animal experimentation for anything except medical reasons---testing prescription drugs and finding cures for diseases, I view that as a necessary evil. But makeup and even experiments to develop pet food are just evil and wrong. Hope I helped.
