Yes, they always are. That is why my husband is forbidden to buy me roses on that day which really sucks b/c my birthday is day before Valentine's Day so the price is still marked up alot. Oh well, I am used to not getting flowers. Sam

As always this is the day Florists make big bucks. But you can find Roses by the vendors who sell them out of thier trucks of vans at a very good price, anywhere from $5. to $10. a dozen.

Yes because that's the time that they up prices in order to get a little extra cash since everyone will be looking to by roses its the principal of supply and demand since roses will be in demand they will be upping the prices the higher the demand the higher the prices.

Yes, absolutely they will be......but you can order from 1-800-FLOWERS online....or you can call them ahead of time and tell them you want a discount.......if you've never ordered from them before they will give it to you...........also........if you live in the states there's a place called "Produce Junction".......they will sell you a dozen long stem roses fairly cheap...even the day before and the day of V-Day.

Well, it depends on where you but them... If you buy thewm at a fancy flower and ballon store, probaly $5 more than usual. But, if at a grocery, they only raise to about 2 dollars more.... :)

always. try to choose a variety of flowers, why would you want only one kind?
like someone above me stated, "supply and demand", take gas for insitance, there more it is wanted, the more they charge for it
the less people want something, the less the demand therefore you get a price drop
