I had a job interview on Thursday at a day care center. I spent two hours talking with them, they showed me the center. They seemed really interested. I went in on Friday to work in the room for a couple hours as a working interview. I talked to the director before I left and she asked me what I thought and if I wanted to observe more. I just said I am ready to jump right in there. She said she would call me in the afternoon but the call never came. Would you consider this a brush off or just that they got busy and did not have time to call?

if she told you that she would call and she didnt then you should do a follow up call. You could ask them if the position has been filled because you were not contacted. they will see this as determination and it might get you the job.

Sounds like a brush off to me, why would she ask you if you wanted observe more? I think she just used that for an excuse but if I were you I would call her back and ask her if she wanted to hire you and tell her that your ready any time. it's better then waiting and plus you will show that you care about the job. Good Luck

They probably did get busy. However, judging by what you said, it seems as if it went very well. If they still don't call, call them for a followup.

Hope that helps!! =]

Sometimes they will say that they are going to call and then dont because they want to see if you will contact them. Because if you contact them when they dont it shows them that you really want the job.
