I have a friend and I feel as if our friendship is coming to an end, but tha's something I don't want. We've been friends ever since the 7th grade and now we're in the 9th grade. Since this year we haven't had a lot of time to talk at school, after, or over the phone. It seems as if she has already picked up some new friends, but I'm not paying any attention to that. All I want to do is save what's left of our friendship. So how do I go about this?

Tell your friend that you are "old" friends,
and those are to be treasured,
so you treasure her friendship
and don't want to lose it.

Tell her YOU have been neglecting her,
so you want to something together, soon.
(shopping, movie, out to eat, etc.)
You have two or three suggestions ready,
and several different nights or afternoons.

Don't accept "someday" or "soon" or "later"
but get an activity, date, time, & commitment,
then make it happen.

Something short and sweet in the beginning.
You know her. Pick something she would like.
Don't be greedy and try to get too much attention too fast.
You seek it out this first time, then wait for her move.
After a few weeks, you can act again.

The main thing about a friend is trust.
You trusted her with your feelings, your secrets.
Remind her of that. Once that trust is lost,
the friendship will never be the same again.

If she doesn't want to renew the friendship,
remember you are still OLD friends, no matter what.

Do ya think she cares... has she made an effort to see you on weekends... you might want to take a step back and look to see if she is trying to move on... Now as far as you are concerned... beens she means so much... you need to get back inthere and try to find ways to get her to make time for you without seeming clingy... like i said there are weekends and try to get her to hang out with you some then... think of what she likes to do and even invite one of her new friends to show her that you are not trying to distract her from the other people in her life... the last thing she would want is for you to get all demanding... be your self... ask her to make so time and have fun... if ahe refuses... move on... this means she has better offers going and you don't needo r deserve that... hope this helps...

as you get older your friends or types of friendship starts to change. Keep calling your friend, but don't be a nusience or to dependent as that chases people away. Call maybe twice a week and yous will have other people and happenings in your life to talk about. Be there for her when she needs you just keep being you . Good luck
