When babies do actually sleep they sleep so sweet.

Two different reasons. Firstly if you have ever seen a baby sleeping it looks so peaceful (before it wakes up and starts screaming). As, admittedly do most adults, but as babies are so much more vulnerable and delicate than adults the fact that they can lie there so peacefully, blissfully unaware enhances the idea that it must be an amazingly carefree sleep. The other reason is that when children are gestating in the womb they are in a nine month sleep that (most) seem unimpressed when forced to leave! that's what I reckon any way

My babies were sleeping 13 hours a night from 6 weeks old.

I always think of the after line yeah, cried and wet the bed all night long when someone comes off with that saying. I suppose because they look so content and peaceful when they do go to sleep.

ive heard that before, its kinda weird because they like waking up all the time. Everyone should say I slept like a log - because they dont move.

Have no Idea,, maybe because babies are not stressed out so when they sleep they sleep good without anything on there minds bothering them.. or maybe when you have a so called good baby (never had one of those myself) and they sleep great ...,who knows have no idea

Ha ha ha! Our COO has a saying that's in line with this...
"When people ask me how I sleep, I say I sleep like a baby.
I wake up every two hours screaming and crying."
:)
That makes more sense to me!

Because when a baby is asleep, they are totally relaxed and not disturbed by noise around them. Being totally relaxed, they wake up with energy to go!

well when they do sleep, they sleep peacefully and without any worries. thus sleep like a baby.
if ur baby wakes every 10 min., i suggest u take it to the dr. and find out what is wrong.

Yes, it's true. But when a baby has just eating and do everything it can and has played so that he asleep nothing can weak-up him.
