Hi all. I've got NTL at home. I only have one TV in the lounge and just heard about being able to watch TV on a laptop.

I heard about Hauppage but it seems to be about Freeview.

Would it be possible to watch NTL on my laptop and how?

I have NTL and also watch in on my computer. You need a TV card and you then run an aerial lead from the extra port on the back of your box to your laptop - you can only see the channel that your box is currently tuned to though - if you want to change channel you have to change it on the box as you can't tune it to the individual channels.

Install Windows XP Media Centre Edition. It has got an inbuilt software to play TV. But you need to hace a Tuner card installed on the computer. External Tuner cards are available that can be connected through USB. Then you can connect the cable to the tuner card and watch TV. Contact your system vendor or enquire in PC world to get more info on Tuner cards that are compatible with ur laptop.
