I have windows XP so i can be certain of what you can do is right-click on the file. Then move the mouse over to "Send To" and move your mouse to a little bit to the right and you should see "compressed (Zipped) folder". Click and you have compressed your file and this can work on several files types even audio and movie files! Useful if its too big or a file that uses many folders and to send it in Yahoo! just "zip" it and yahoo can take all of it at once. I can't believe all these people say you have to download something. Hope this helps!

Just right click the file you want to zip and then select add to zip file.

But make sure you download winzip first (recommended). Dont use windows xp zip because it sucks.

After zipping your file becomes compressed and will be represented by a winzip icon.

Good Luck!

in case you employ WinRAR and this is the completed version (no longer the trial), then you definitely could desire to have the skill to do it in simple terms fantastic. you probable have a tribulation or certainly one of those "loose finished variations" you are able to 'scouse borrow' which probable does not have each and every of the constructive factors. I frequently do no longer use passwords regardless of the shown fact that, i do no longer RAR something that i do no longer desire people to locate. yet once you do have a commonplace/finished version of WinRAR or WinZip you're able to desire to have the skill to "upload password" interior the nicely suited-click context menu or interior this device ideas or menu.

click on the start button > all programs and see if winzip is installed on your computer. if not you need to go to http://www.winzip.com/ and install the freeversion. there is no other way.
