Do you still celebrate the anniversaries of when you first dated even after you were married? My husband and I are celebrating our one year anniversary for when we first started going out, then we'll be celebrating our wedding anniversary in a few months. And I was just wondering if those of you who are married still celebrate the anniversaries that you first started dating?

the dating anniversary is important to me and my husband because in our opinion, without getting to know eachother, there would be no wedding anniversary. The dating anniversary and wedding anniversary both have 2 different meanings.

You sound just like us. We celebrate the day we met, Oct. 30th and our wedding anniversary Dec 29th every year. It is very romantic and gives us an opportunity to have great sex. LOL
Wish me luck on Monday! woo hoo

We barely celebrate our marriage anniversary...we have been married for 6 years. My husbands family was never big on celebrating any type of holiday, especially birthdays and anniversary's. Since we have been married I have been getting him into getting b-day presents and anniversary stuff is usually minimal. But, it's ok..I have gotten used to it. I still celebrate even if he doesn't!

For us, it fell by the wayside as life got more busy and money gets tight. (we have a 15 month old now) We got engaged on Sweetest Day a few years back and don't even celebrate that anymore. We're both ok with that. Now we only celebrate our wedding anniversary. Even still, good for you two! Keep the romance alive! :)

yes, i totally agree with u. plus it reminds my husband how many times we have been together total and then how long we have been married. Our anniversaries are in different months but same days ( the 13th). so continue to do ur thing no matter what others may think or say. its ur memories. wow one year. we will b celebrating 8 yrs together and then our 1 yr wedding anniversary.

Well since our first date like a lot of married couples is Valentines day it makes it kind of hard not to my husband and I are true romantics and celebrate everything still after five years and I don't see that changing any time soon.

We remember our dating anniversary, but don't celebrate it, exactly. The older we get, the more anniversaries go by, it's too hard to make time for all these inane details. It's hard enough to get organized for major holidays. Maybe when the kids are older, we'll have more time for ourselves like we used to.

yes, we celebrate by either going to dinner/card. Our anniversaries are very important to us. It's pretty much up to the couple.

We do not but I wish we could. It's just that neither of us remember the date. We have been married 18 years and any memories that we can share of our meeting would be held precious to both of us.
So happy for you that you have that oppertunity.
