Classical is about the most soothing music you can listen to, but you must prerecord your likes or else you may be hit by a rousing Mozart Cosi Fan Tutu or a Hayden Surprise Symphony which will shatter your peaceful composure. It is hard to find that type of soothing music, that is played on a continuous basis. You will have to record for playback. One of those Ipods would do the trick.

Mozart is my favourite. I heard that they play it on the London Underground to calm passengers waiting for trains that are probably going to be running very late.
