Pubs with no music is like a mortuary on a sunday morning. Pubs with blaring music is what we call night clubs. Pubs with quiet music invites an ambiance into a intimate drink amongst friends and colleagues, a chance to reflect through ones self or rehash the days activities with others without the need to to shout to overcome the daunting din.

If you have to put your hands to your ears to focus the sound from the person you are talking with, it is too loud.
