I am the least bit political savy or even knowledgeble, but, i want to vote this election and would love to know if there's an easy (one-stop) place to see the candidates and what they're for and against. I live in NY. Tnx :)

Register as an Independent. They you can choose the best person, over a party. It would take some work, but grab the Sunday paper and make a list of the candidates. Then, Google them and find out their history, record, and what they stand for. You will not get a clear image from TV/radio.

Democrats are for higher taxes, more government, and the list goes on. I suggest looking at the American Conservative Union website acu.org. You can get a perspective on each congressman and senator and start from there. With politicans it is not what they say, but what they do. This is true with most Democrats.

True Republicans are for:

Lower taxes
Closing the border from illegals
defending this country from terrorists
interrogating terrorists as needed. Many call this torture. Better them then us.
