Anyone know of any downloadable resources available on the internet for testing for basic literacy and numeracy skills??

best place is a website called count on. Here u can download loads of tests for levels 1 and 2 for both numeracy and literacy.

I'm not sure I couldn't find any, BBC skillswise is a good site for helping with Basic Skills, had to go on a course with them to deliver it for the students...

The only testing I know of realy is a programme called BEST (Basic Education Skills Testing) if I remember right and it came on a disk, don't know if you can download it anywhere though...
