There's a MySpace URL which i really wanted so i looked it up to see if it was taken, and it said...

'Invalid Friend ID.
This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted. '

So i thought great! I can use it. Only when i tried it said this URL is being used by another member, when obviously, it's not.

Why does it say this if they have deleted their myspace?
Is there anyway i can get the url i was after?

go ask Tom on someone's friends list, coz 'he' answers all the techie questions. But I think it means that you need to wait for a certain length of time to get a released URL. Myspace have been deleting loads of folk's accounts that have been spamming and stuff recently and there has beena bit of clampdown - all a good thing though. I am sure Tom will be able to tell you the exact state ofplay though. he generally answers within a bout 3 - 5 days.

No you can't get the URL you were after because it clearly states that when you first make your my-space URL . that that URL will be yours forever unless you make a new my-space.
