i dont know if i spelled that right but anyway- im going there with my boyfriend tonight..what should i wear? i dont know if the restaurant is dressy or not. help please?

Great food and casual atmosphere. Kind of pricy but since you don't go too often, I think you'll enjoy the experience. Have fun!

The spelling is BENIHANA. We have been there many times. THe dress is casually nice. Not formal and I wouldn't go in flip flops, but you may find some there that are.
Just a word of advice, because the restuarant specializes in table-top cooking (teppan-yaki) and they do have good fans, be prepared to have some of the steam from the cooking possibly drift in your direction. So that being said, you'll probably need to have your clothes cleaned after a night there -- so decide if you want to wear clothes that can be thrown in the wash or if it'll need to be dry cleaned.

It is not dressy but I would wear something nice. It is not a shorts and tee shirt kind of place.

Chic Casual...haven't been to a Benni Hanas for a while, but they were very nice without being "elite" and the food was great!!
