Medium to Advanced c++ book?
First of all, may I suggest you do not buy a book from B&B since their prices are through the roof. Now about your question I will seriously recommend the following
c++ primer
ISBN 0201824701
Check www.half.com you might be able to get this one for under $20
This is not and introductory book as it cover many of the advanced features of c++ from the start. If you desire to expand your knowledge of c++ I also recommend:
The C++ Standard Library: A Tutorial and Reference
ISBN 0201379260
A little more than 30 bucks, but well worth the price. Hope that helps.

From all, I choose the following.
-Title: "How to programm C++" or something of the sort (i have it in spanish), 4th ed. (maybe there is a newer edition, in which case i recommend it as well)
-ISBN: 970-26-0254-8
-Prentice Hall
-Authors: H. Deitel and P. Deitel
-Extension:1320 pages.
-Prize: I bought it at around 30 dollars.
-Topics: introduction, control structures, functions, arrays, pointers and strings, classes and data abstraction, more classes, operator overloading, polymorphism, inheritance, input/output flow, exception handling, file processing, "String" class and the processing of string data flows, web programming with CGI, data structure, more on bits characters strings and structures, the preprocessor, inherited code, STL, and many more.
-Beautifully explained, with abundant examples and practical questions at the end of each chapter. A project designed with UML is developed throughout the chapters.
Well, this is the best book I've seen so far. Everyone wanting to lear some C++ should have it, and its cheap!
