All of these are good things to get checked out . But no one mentioned the heater core. Also there are sensors tha could just be giving the computer bad readings. Check every thing one at a time.
Good luck you may need it.

first how old is this pontiac ,how old is the radiator ,if you replaced every thing and it is overheating still the radiator could be pluged up inside ,and you are not getting the full cooling you need from it ,you may see flow but if you have a few cores pluged you would still have a problem ,as for it being a pontiac problem that is not true ,they are a couple of tricks i can tell you to do if your themostat is a 195 or higher temp themostat go to a 180 also does your ac work ? because when the ac switch is turned on the cooling fan will stay on and not turn off (gm made it like that ) if the ac is not working and the compressor is not on this would help you coool the engine off more with more air flow on the radiator but alot of times a radiator flush does not help a new radiator will ,but before you spend the money check all the other possible problems

The radiator needs to be replaced. Flushing only words for a while. If you notice that your heater goes to cold while you are stopped at a light or while you are at idle this is also a sign. The radiator can cause a lot of the other problems you described. THis should get you going. Also just for future reference. These problems are very comon with Pontiacs. I have had two and won't own another one.

My pontiac grand am was running hot, there was a leak in the radiator, and it should be around $60 to fix or less.
Ask them to check the radiator - green stuff will be underneath the car. Mine got too hot and cracked, that's why it leaked.
Also, make sure you don't have a leak in your hoses.
Hope that helps.

Well if it is not leaking or losing coolant I would put the old thermostat and the old sensor back in to see if the problem goes away. Also try bleeding the air out as the radiator fill might not be the high point in the system. There might be a bleeder screw at the thermostat housing and another one above the water pump, in the 'plumbing' that takes the coolant across the engine. These can be opened slightly and then run the engine until coolant comes out.

Is it 'hot', or is the gauge showing hot? You could be the victim of a bad sender. Otherwise, make sure the t/stat is working (you do have on ein there, right?) by putting it in a pot of boiling water - it should open.
Others have suggested a radiator test. You mentioned you had the radiator fixed - that could mean a lot of things. One way to fix it is to pinch off some of the tubes. Pinch off enough of them, and you get the picture. Plus, if it was bad enough to need a repair, it was probably bad enough to change.

everyone has had good ideas but NO ONE has mentioned the sensor for the cooling fan or the cooling fan it's self.. when the temp. reaches 220 the cooing fan should come on if not use a jumper wire to get power from the battery to the fan to make sure the fan is good if so replace the sensor

If its getting hot due to low coolant could be your heater core may have a small leak .or even in the line leading to the core-if you see or smell coolant inside the car that very well may be the case.or if windshield has a film on it kinda like tar from cigarettes
