I am a writer (poetry, song lyrics, novels) Im also sing but am interested in shopping and selling the songs that I have written. They have no music with them, though they have a melody and just need excellent production efforts. Is there a place to sell just lyrics or do they need music with them? Just need help getting started. I need honest and trustworthy answers.

First thing you do is mail the lyrics to yourself. When you recieve them in the mail, don't open the envelope, that way they're copywritten. Then you simply mail off your best lyrics to various artist and Record lables and hope for the best! Good Luck!

Alex Turner's lyrics have been particularly cool within the first two Arctics albums.
