It will be mailed or faxed to advertising companies and film/animation studios. I haven't much experience and its the first time i'm looking for jobs in this area..

You will want to let them know all the art experience you have had. Awards you may have won. Schools you have attended: degrees or certifications you may hold. Your specialties; if you are better at one sort of art; like cartoons, etc. What goals you wish to accomplish through employment. You availability. Be sure to give them your "full style": phone, fax and contact email, also your current address. Ask for an appointment to meet the employer face to face and take samples of your work.

You have to encourage them to want to hire you. Your letter should be clear, concise, correct grammar and spelling. If you send the letter then be sure the paper is nice (cream or white and you can use a letterhead you designed it is easy to do on the computer nowadays), the font is acceptable for the business world and black ink only and one page letter please.
