Today is my birthday and i was going to spend the day with the guy i'm dating and currently we're both pretty much broke. Mine because of some recent medical expenses and he because he got laid off from work a bit ago.
We had planned to go to a cheap convention this morning but i was told yesterday i needed to work this morning for a deadline and missed the convention.
What are some good ideas that dont cost too much for us to go do?
I'm looking for more fun than anything, neither of us are vrey romantic so please nothing like that.
He is 21 i am 20 so i can't go drinking either :)

Join the club! I never have money around my birthday. I am happy to have a nice dinner, movie at home, and a piece of cake. Spending time in the quiet with the man I love is better than anything else I can think of anyway.

I'm old fashion so this may not work for you. I love to make salads and put them in a picnic basket with all the trimmings. that way no matter where you go you will have something to eat. I also like to fly kites, so this works well together. You could go looking at modular homes, that's always fun and cost NO money or R V's

walk around & "window shop"
go 2 a sports game
if ur a bit odd, go to store where they have carts. take ur camera. Fill up diff carts w/ odd themed stuff... like a cart of femine products, or a cart w/ "sexual" items...condoms, strawberrys & whiped cream, lube, choc. syup, toy handcuffs, ect., theres alot more ideas for themes, but i don't feel like writing them all. Well n-e-way, take ur theme carts & secretly switch them with carts of people who look like they would never buy n-e-of it. The femine one for a young guy, the sexual one w/ an old lady or guy. take a pic of their reaction. If you want, put what they had in thier cart over it all, so they won't notice till they get to the check out & feel obligated to make up some excuse for it all to the check out lady. HAHAHA. this is very fun & funny. If u don't think u can pull it off, just randomly put odd things in random peeps carts. still funny.
U can have ur man buy drinks & sit at home & get drunk if u want.
Hand out last min invites or call ur friends like 3 hours before u want a party 2 happen. Put ur fav. tunes on the stero, tell people 2 bring thier fav fun thing 2 do or idea. also ask a few 2 bring chips & pop if u can't afford it. buy a bag or two of party fav. from the doller store ( open & put in a bag where u can't see them). have people pic something from the bag.. give out 2 people who have the most creative ideas, then 2 peeps who "win" the "games" that u play (peeps ideas) tell everone to wear their sillyest oufit!!!
some ideas for cheep party food. Kool-aid 2 drink. round crakers w/ cheeze spray & bacon bits on them, chips,sliced strawberrys dipped in hot cocco mix w/ carmel on them, pb&j sandwichs w/ no crust cut into 4 pieces & served like that,cooked frozen pizzas cut into a billgillon tiny bite size pieces, crakers w/ lunchmeat on them & random condomints,theres more but these r the cheepest
party games/entertainment... board games, card games, most inventive dance to the music thats randomly picked on the radio, oddest oufit, best fingerpainting ( use condoments if u don't have paints), most inventive makeover (everyone makes each other over), truth or dare (endless possoblititys for that), I've never ( someone says something, u go around saying if u have or havn't done that, peeps can pick one person to do that if they never), quaters w/ kool-aid (preferbly w/ a splash of vodca in it), best scarecrow in 5 min ( if u have people bring trashed clothes & you have alot of leaves)
Don't worry about cleaning...announce to everyone when they come in that whoever loses the most games has to stay after & help clean EVERYTHING up...that should get them all really into the games...
