I have been scared beyond belief with 2 films.
1. The Birds by Hitchcock, where the birds are attcking people to death even through houses etc..... and
2. Silence of the Lambs which I had nightmares about, especially the bit where they show a shoot of outside Clarices house as if someone if watching an lying in wait.
To be a great scary movie it has to have done what it says on the tin. You need to be SCARED!!!

I must say that i thought Scream 1 was bloody brilliant, as it was not predictable like all of the other scary movies, well in my opinion anyway, because you didn't know when he was going to show up and it was scary as hell, altho the other 2 films made did become predictable and not very scary as it was made blatantly obvious to the viewer when the Scream man was going to come, but i really thought the first one was great. Oooh and the ring, i was also very scared by that one, it was sooooo jumpy.

Blair Witch Project by far! Though The Ring was pretty scary too - and seeing as between these two films, I really was pretty sacred, I decided I don't really want to watch scary films again, so i Guess that makes them the best / worst for me.

I really can't remember the name of it but, the movie was about the tooth fairy like character that came out in the darkness.... Oh freak! The name just came to me! I believe the name of it is "Darkness Falls"! I am not afraid of the dark but, after I look at that flick..... I don't go to bed alone! That movie mixes the reality of the tooth fairy with the emotional disruptance of a child. two things that can actually occur. It is crazy! If you haven't saw it.... It is great!
