If you look up The Old Right on Wikipedia you will find that his views fall in line with this. It is the Republicans and Conservatives who used to support a non-interventionist foreign policy while Democrats like Woodrow Wilson and FDR supported being militarily involved all over the world to make the world safe for Democracy. The new Republican party and the Neocons have changed the meaning of the word Conservative for many people. The fact that the Austrian School of Economics has been ignored by mainstream academia should be a plus, not a mark against it. Unless you think the economic policies of the last few decades have worked out well for us.

WMD's, prevent terrorists from forming an alliance with Saddam Hussein, liberate millions of people that were being killed, and yes oil had something to do with it. Any terrorist state that has oil is a threat to the world because they have the revenue to fund terrorists. There is proof that the Iraqi government had meetings with Al-Qaida and Saddam assisted in the events of 9/11.

As Chesty Puller once said at the battle of Chosin Reservoir in Korea: "they're in front of us, they're in back of us, and they're to the left and right of us, they can't get away this time" referring to the hoards of Chinese soldiers that had the Marines surrounded.

The point of the war in Iraq is to go to the middle east and kill radical Muslims that want to or are planning to attack our country or any of our vital interests around the world.

It's a simple concept if you open up your mind to it.

First of all war has been declared on us.
Second we have been attacked multiple times
Third, these attacks have cost 1000"s of American lives
Fourth the cost monetarily is multiple billions of dollars
Fifth, since we have the capability, we take the war to them
Sixth we do it in the hot bed of the middle east, Iraq is a geographic location and a staging point. It is surrounded by six Muslim nations that have militant groups and governments that put extraordinary effort into killing Americans .
The bottom line is we are there for the reasons you stated above, but the depth of those reasons is beyond your willingness to try and comprehend.

Read my first paragraph, that's what it's all about.

Anyone who thinks we went into Iraq for Oil is a FOOL !

We went in to bring down the Saddam Hussein Regime, and to seek WMD's, which I am not convinced were not there before we went in.

To show US Power in the Mid-East (Arab countries). The US thinks that if they show power and military strength then these countries will back down and we will be safer. Not true, just the opposite is happening. We look like agressors to the rest of the world. We have made enemies and now other countries will not back us.
Why did we not get the UN behind us first?
Bush wanted to show his power and did not want to back down from what he said he would do. A smart man always admits they are wrong.
Bush and his men knew Bin Laden had no ties to Iraq but they did want Saddam. He threatened Bush Senior when he was in office. Maybe Bush Jr needed to prove to his father that he could get him and he did. But look at this war. It is never ending and no way out is in sight. We have lost almost 3,000 men and more than that are diabled due to the war.
We are hated by many Arabs. And now it has trickled down to other countries who used to be our allies. Ask around. See who still likes the fact that you are American. Do you get a cold shoulder? Do you get a nasty look? Do you get anger?

We are not well liked. Many forgave the fact that we put Bush W in office the first time, but the second time they will never understand not accept.

All of the above: except oil.
We will not get a drop of free oil from Iraq or anywhere else.
Everyone knows that.
We always give. Never take.
