"Fin" means "end" in many romance languages, including Spanish and French. Instead of putting "the end," they put "fin," which has the same meaning. They also do it at the end of Mexican soap operas, which last a specific duration and end.

"Fin" or "Fini"meaning finished in french, is the same as "The End" and is some times inserted at the end of a film or video clip to signify that the film or video clip is over.

"The End" - in French - at one time (before the invetion of sound), movies were not made primarily in Hollywood for the American audience; France had a very large movie industry until World War 1, and the convention of using "Fin" at the end of a film took root throughout europe - during the 50's the French film industry underwent a revival (the "French New Wave"), and serious students of film worldwide were watching films by Truffeaut, Goddard, etc. which ended "Fin" - film school students are still watching those films today, so nearly everyone who makes films is familiar with that ending.

~fin in Spanish means "end". :-)
~fin in French means "end", and yet it also means "fine"
However, fini in french means "finished". :-) I hope that helps. Take care.

It is actually "Fine". But the sentence lacked "E". So "Fine" they wrote "Fin". Or the writer is too hipster
