Seriously...most people that I've heard bashing all Americans did so because they hate Bush. Not all Americans voted for Bush, many disagree with his policies. Yet, there are many people out there that hate all Americans simply because Bush is President.

Personally, I think it's idiotic to hate someone that you've never met or even heard of simply because of their nationality, ethnic background, sexual persuation, gender, etc. Get to know a person first!

Thoughts and comments?

I know that hating an entire nationality because you don't like their leader is idiotic at best. I just wonder why people persist in hating others for such ignorant reasons.

If the leader's policies reflect what the majority of people think, then:

1) Why are Bush's ratings so low?
2) Why hate the 'minority' that disagree with those policies?

I can't think of ANY democracies in the world...
In a democracy, all people vote and the votes are tallied to determine who will be the leader, what laws will be passed, etc.
In a republic, the people are represented (i.e. House of Representatives, Senate, House of Parliment, electoral colleges, etc.)
The US is a republic, not a democracy.

You asked a question and in a way answered it yourself.
But further your own comments.

People have a belief system, may hold some truth may not. Generally people are followers, then there are leaders, these leaders from president to the leader of a local church have followers, ie: or would not be were they are. If more people would educate themself about our country, nationalities, religion, animal, human instincts to a disease, (wide range there) but point is by one educating themselves, I believe there would be less hate. Knowledge is power

take care

Old World prejudice.

Historically, Kings/Queens, Dictators, Emperor's have always been subject to reticule from the peasants. We just need time to let the rest of the world advance in thought too.

Even now, the USA citizens are doing the same to the N. Korean citizens because of Kim Jong who's claims he's God and cutting the N. Korea ppl from the world (economically, socially, and militarily). Part of this mentality is used to 'Manipulate' the masses to unite against an illusion. Effective trick isn't it???

As a thought oriented, human rights sympathizer ... I often get caught up in a vicious game of ping-pong ... sucks they nukes (get 'em NOW) ... and ... poor ppl who are brain washed. Glad I don't have to carry that weight of burdon on my shoulders like Dubya does --- guess that's why he stepped up to be Pres ... I'd loose my mind if I took the servant postion of President.

Because the leadership most often reflects its people that they are leading. Especially within democracies where people vote for their leadership and obviously show support and they identify with its policies...
