Okay... I keep on getting random emails from paypal saying that I need to unlock my paypal account, and I never even signed up for paypal. And I keep on getting emails for eBay saying that I need to verify my account, but I didn't sign up for it. Anyone know what's happening?

Scam written all over it!!!

These are emails from a third party scam artist trying to mask as if he needs your account information "only updated" wanting you to log in and actually provide it to them so they can generate havoc on your credit and/or $$$$.

I'd forward the email to Ebay Fraud department, as well as the FBI fraud department. I've done it before, just so they can start a case to log the trend and get this out to the public to beware of this type of email.

first, check the FULL header for the e-mail to see if it came from the company.
second, using a "direct" connection (ex: www.paypal.com), and NOT any link in the email, contact the company and notify them of this, and send the e-mail as an attachment. It may be someone using your name for an account or it may be a fraud.
third, contact law enforcement, (local, state, or federal) with full printouts, including the header information so they can investigate.

It MAY be a mistake, a fraud, or identity theft.

Sounds like someone has used your email and made an account. Go to the site and contact them or reply to the email you get on this matter and have it investigated.Good Luck

Either you DID sign up at one point and forgot. Maybe drunk or something. Or, maybe somebody is trying to hack in as you. Maybe see what your passwords are and what you have bought.

A 3 year old bought a car on ebay last month I heard. Really.
