I found two snake skins in my attic last fall.

Most snakes, if they stay in your house, will seek out a water source for a place to live.. Snakes hibernate. I am no expert but this is what I have read. I dont know if all snakes hibernate. If you found the skins last Fall, you probably would have seen snakes in your house by now. Snakes prefer to be outside. If they are in your attic, they are probably keeping any mice in check.

Keep an eye out for droppings. Snakes don't produce that many droppings, but if they eat, they'll have to go eventually so...yeah.
You might see if there are reptile groups (people who study/own/are interested in reptiles) and if you still have the skins, maybe have them take a look and get an idea of what kind they are.
chances are though, that if there is a snake in your home, they will either be looking for water (as mentioned before) or they'll be curled up somewhere dark, warm and safe.

If I found snake skins in my house, I would move. The snakes can keep the house. I do NOT like them.

i would catch it and keep it as a pet
