Plenty of good places in Plaka (the narrow streets at the base of the Akropolis). Buy the English language paper Athens News from a kiosk. You will find plenty of ads. Greeks start late in the evening - say 11.00 pm and go on most of the night. You can find Jazz, Rock,Greek tradional, Rubetica. Enjoy!
