I use to hang out with friends with my boyfriend then husband, but his mouth made them not want to hang around us. We'd go bowling, to the movies, to the river, fishing, drive around on country roads. Now I just go with my friends and don't involve him. We used to go to friends houses and take turns cooking etc.on a weekend even when we had little kids. Now it seems never. The main reason for stopping is his "belittling mouth" to me and the friends or family don't think it is cool of him to talk that way to me. I don't either and wonder how different things could have been if he'd only stopped it. I'm to the point I don't care to have people even know I'm with him because I feel embarrased and ashamed to have stayed in this "tacky" relationship for 25 + years with a verbal abuser that never has "grown up."

I used to play basketball, football, volleyball, softball. Lots of sports, the knees made me stop. The doctor said I can have one more good season or walk. I choose to walk. So now I ride my bicycle allot. Very low impact on the knees.

Dance
Play Tennis
Had to stop because of arthritis of the hip.
