Hi
I have just ordered an i-pod nano for ageing husband.
It depends. I-pods can only download own Cd's and itunes from Internet, but MP3's can download Cd's and any other format from Internet.
for versatility go for MP3, for sleekness go for i-pod

i have just purchased an nano ipod and though i am perfectly happy downloading music and photos on my computer ,i just cannot get to grips with this ipod, have had to download the manual from apple mac,as very sparse instructions come with it
when i queried the lack of information on the pod ,i was told by PC world from where i brought it "every one knows how to use it ,and suggested i buy a book at £15 took a trip to the library , and got called brilliant ipod and tunes by Dan ford,OK now i think

An mp3 player would suit you m8 - easy to load mp3's then sit back and enjoy.
The ipod is more complex to use than mp3 players..

depends on the price
get an ipod if you can afford it & want to spend the mony
esp if you are gonna use it a lot
if not, just get a cheap version, they all work basically the same.
