id be abroad for bout 14 days, and it'll be a definate hassle to have my period in a foreign land. Is there any pills or medication available where we can temporarily stop the menstrual cycle? are there any side effects?

If you're on the pill, all you have to do is not take the sugar pills and just continue taking the real ones. It doesn't cause any harm, you just won't have a period until you hit the next sugar pills(or stop taking the real ones.) Lots of women do this for their honeymoon's etc.

No you don't want to do that.....but yes there are some types of birth control that make you have your period every 4 months or something like that but I don't think you should worry about being in your period in another country.....they get them over there too i'm sure just take plenty of tampons....how long you going for?
