There are ways, but they are dishonest, or otherwise you are told about the deal beforehand. I had 3 months broadband free of charge when I first started with the company I am still with. If I chose to finish with them after the 3 month trial I could have done. If you simply stop paying them, they will probably cut off the service, and you will get a bad credit rating which could adversely affect your other dealings in the future.

You cant, you have a certain time called a cooling period and once thats over then you have to go with it until 12 months are over. Have a look at your terms and conditions. See what it says. You can cancel a pay as you go account but a contract is different.

You are legally binded to complete the terms of your contract now. You may be able to get a reduced cancellation fee, but expect to pay some kind of charge. They will pursue you for outstanding monies owed if you cancel direct debit

Write to the company and explain your complete dissatifaction (asuming they have tried to resolve your problems) and if this doed not (probably) then not only threaten them with the FCC, but write to the FCC (federal communications commision) they do not mess around and your I.P. absolutely does not want them anywhere near them.
Hope this helps

Unless they are in breach of contract you can't get out of it. read your contract and then check every detail - but even then you may need to go to a law centre or solicitor to get help.
