We have to blaim our corrupt politicians for these. They only come to take care of the poor once in 5 years. Now its time for the village to become selfdependent. The government and the politicians are not going to help them anyway. They can made trusts and establish solar plants for light and electricity.I think when I will be of 18years I will never vote because their is no true politicians left in country if their are some they can't do anything because of the higher authorities of parties. If you visit to any village you would know how worst is the condition of peoples. They are living in such a bad condition that we can't think about it.Now the time have come that all old leaders should make place for new, energtic and modern thoughts of young leaders like Rahul Gandhi.Because everytime when young peoples are in charge we have developed like Indra Gandhi,Rajiv Gandhi. But this aged politicians only think about their chair and their benefit.Like Arjun Singh and V.P. Singh which has destroyed millions of talents and now tring to repeat the past again. And our PM is not doing anything.I have many expactations with our PM and President that both are highly qualified and educated and they will take some major steps to develop our country but both disappointed me by not opposing the reservation policy.

India was not really prepared at the time of independance to rule on its own....
But looking back these 59 years we should be proud of the acheivement of this sub-continent.
We have poverty, starvation, famines, death, uneducation, communal clashes...and you name it ....the list is endless.

But today we are much stronger, developed and better than what we were.......ISRO, nuclear power, a world-power of tommorrow

I don't deny that the development has not reached the grass-root level .....There is much more to acheive than what we have acheived....miles to go before i sleep and miles to go before I sleep.

Due to Uneducation & Corruption our development is sluggish.

But with every Indian thinking of the nations development we are not far from the "yester centuries of Golden era" o dawn again.

It is better to light a small candle than to curse the Darkness.
Don't lose hope ......we can and we will. JAI HIND!

From your reference to 'creamy layer', I think you are referring to India. There has been economic development - mostly in urban areas. The rural areas are still lagging behind. The government headed by Dr. Singh got elected because of a backlash of the neglected rural poor. I am not sure they are doing any better either. Sad.
