What is this nonsense? Families grieve for their loved ones who have been killed, no matter in which country it happens. The ones who shrug their shoulders, and don't care, are either the perpetrators of the violence, or the governments and media of distant countries. To say that human life is worth nothing in Africa and Asia (and let's not forget Latin America and the Caribbean), is to make a racist statement that denies that people struggling in the developing world can have any concept of humanity or compassion. All human life is of equal value.
I hope that you can understand that, despite your good intentions, your overall approach is basically misguided.

In poor countrys life is so hard and difficult that life is just an exsistence. Thats why life is cheap in such places, some people even find it a relief to die, although they would never commit suicide. You do not see the prosperous Saudi Arabia people killing each other, only the poor arab country,s are doing that. And parts of Africa were most people have aids or other deadly sickness life is also meaningless for these people.

This will sound very callous, but, as a former journalist, I can tell you this is how at least some news outlets see the importance of detailing international news in the American media: We don't care about things that don't impact us directly. Out of sight, out of mind, as the saying goes. There are anomalies (like the massive Tsunami of a couple years back), but this is the general rule.
Yes, it is depressing, as it should be. As much as I am an Apple fan, perhaps if more people cared about Darfur over the last five years than buying and then upgrading their iPods, the crisis may not be in the state it is today. I am not suggesting that we can easily avoid such immediate pressures, but we should at least be aware of them.

Because they grew up with that. If American's had to deal with bomb explosions and killings like most of the other countrys do we would have the same outlook, because it would be all we know.

In places with large numbers of population it is just numbers that are lost not faces not lives.
But the families suffer no matter what country.
