im breast feeding and would like to continue please help

all i know is that your flow of milk is to much for the baby. i don't know any cures for this except maybe you could pump your breast some before breastfeeding to decrease the amount and therefore creating a slower flow. contact your local wic office and search the web.

Oversupply will regulate over time. Do not pump unless you have to, as that will signal your body to create more milk.

Block feeding is a good start. let your babe nurse only on one side at every feeding for 3-4 hours (which should be a couple of feedings) then do the same on the other side. This assures that your breast are being fully emptied and baby is getting the fatty hindmilk.
