I think they just vent frustration; anyone who tries to make you think someone kills someone because they saw it on a movie, or a video game or whatever is full of ****. There is something wrong deep in the core first to go do something like kill someone just because you did it on a video game. And that goes for music to.

I.E. You get the urge to kill some fool, so you go play a video game. Not the other way around.

My brothers play violent video games and they beat me up and yell at me and are really mean when the tv is off. I don't think they would kill anyone on purpoose but my oldest brother tells me to die. After watching them for awhile and then going to bed I had a dream that I killed my brother and sister because they were protecting my younger siblings. I woke up crying and aplogized to them I felt so bad. My family never cussed before but my sister and brother started listening to metal and rap music and now they cuss all the time. So definately think it attributes maybe not consciously but subconsciously and can reamerge to the consious if exposed enough.

When you walk out of a Movie theaters and you just finish watching the best action movie since you can remember, you feel real pump up, like you can just do that $h!t like if it was nothing right ?, same goes with the video games, when you accomplish that game you feel like your the $h!t. Some people have this little twist to them that they just can't define fantasy form real like. You know how many time children watch something and they just want to "pretend" there that character all day long ? The truth is that, the mind its a very powerful thing, and the mind lives thorough thoughts and emotions and feelings....that triggers it and that's why so many people are addicted to certain this, pornography, video games, drugs, alcohol...you name it.
Alot of people don't know how to make there mind not control them, and these people are the ones that the violence of this films and games trigger.
I believe that yes, Movies and games can influence a whole lot on a person's action

My best friend loves playing violent video games, but even though it's a bit of a time waster, I think it's good for him... It really does vent his anger and frustration because he told me a few times that he names the people that he killed...
I just hope that he isn't angry enough to go beyond the video games and do it in real life!
I see where some people are coming from with the video game thing training people to kill others... I don't think that video games make people do that, but it is sort of a small factor in it in some cases...

I don't think they train people to kill and I don't feel they are for venting frustration either...they are entertainment! They are games! It's ridiculous to think people kill people because of what they've heard in a song or a movie or even an extremely graphic and interactive video game. People who kill people have issues already, nothing to do with these forms of entertainment...otherwise there would be alot more people out shooting hookers in the streets and other random citizens lol :) just my opinion

I'd say vent frustrations. I've never played a game and had the urge to run out and kill someone.

I agree that playing the video games for me is a way to release my frustration and anger. If someone takes it further than that they were not stable to begin with.

I think it's a way to vent anger. Unless you get mad at the game...I have seen people throw game systems and tv's out the front door. .âº

violence in cyber space is cool hey admit it?
zeroing in on someone in grand theft auto with a sniper rifle is a buzz to watch there head disapear with blood pumping .
It is somewhere we go to escape as for training to be psycos?
well look out world the next gen is about to wipe us out ?
i dont think so there are some sick *** freaks out there and people willl always say hey blame the video games.
before them they were saying blame the war in vietnam they see the pictures
the bottom line is there will always be sickos video games might just keep them amused long enought to let them die grey old men!
