If the US, and maybe even the UN, could separate discussion of nuclear energy (and sharing technology that is good for electricity) from the talk about nuclear weapons, perhaps war would become less popular. Even then, can the hatred toward the US be weakened? Can the US leaders, and citizens, love its enemies? Is it not a Judeo-Christian nation that knows the value of loving its enemies?

May "weaken" is not the best word, maybe DILUTE SOME OF THE HATRED by loving its enemies - is a better way to pose this question.

It's not the country...it's the leaders of those countries that we should worry about.....remember....Iran and Iraq were friendly towards the U.S. before coups happened many years ago.
The U.S. is most likely hated by 3rd world countries for it's success in it's short history.(my opinion)
Sharing technology such as nuclear energy would be OK if there was a guarantee if another leader in the future does not turn it into a weapon.....Besides countries that have most of the worlds oil should have been the richest countries but yet most of it's people live in poverty.
The problem of hatred and suspicion is not going to happen overnight.....it may take years, even after your lifetime to end....it's the children of today and tomorrow that hopefully will be taught there is no difference in human kind...just traditions.
The old and current populations have been taught by their parents...so like a conversation being passed on and on it will eventually be forgotten

No, I'm afraid that love is only good for those who are open to the possibility of friendship. Beyond that, enemies will never see or accept love from those whom they hate. There are times when love is much more effective, but not with enemies bent on destroying you. That said, I'm certain that the US has created most of our own problems by making enemies in constantly taking sides and giving foreign aid.

Concerning the nuclear issue, if Iran or Korea become nuclear powers, nothing America can do, except pre-emptive action, will spare her from their exercise of their wrath against her. Iranian and Korean nukes make big messes really fast, especially in the hands of terrorist with eternal indignation against Israel, against US, and eventually against everyone who is not extremist Islam like them.

Love may have been a good answer for them in the past, but at this time love is only effective with other nations, and our only recourse with Iran and Korea is the iron fist of military might, or new governments with an interest in good, respectful relations.

the midsection east has continually had large strategic value, we've performed the Arabs off of one yet another throughout the time of WW1, WW2, and the chilly warfare (so did our allies and warring parties) in spite of the indisputable fact that when we not needed them we not in any respect afflicted to save substances made contained in the nice and comfortable temperature of conflict (neither did our enemies yet they weren't in capacity anymore). And so the sins of the fathers are surpassed on to the toddlers, it really is a sticky difficulty and not using a clearcut answer.

It`s like this...if you are a cautious driver, you still cannot be sure you won`t have a road accident...because the other driver can cause accident with you...It takes 2 to tango.
Ambitious country who wants to be more powerful by amassing neighboring invasions wants to have nuclear bomb, especially if they have the money and power (oil possessions) It is their prerogatives but with ill intention. They are answerable to that (their conscience & ill ulterior motive)
USA cannot just ignore their behavior, because if left to play, cause world chaos & humankind destructions. So, how about desciplining every grown-ups while there`s time???
Then just pray to God later on, when every efforts fails to descipline spoiled, destructive juvenile delinquents.
Trust as has been done to N. Korea...aid an ailing small hungry communist country...but aid converted to nuclear bomb to go against the aiding country??? really...RIDICULOUS !!!!!

Nope. The only way the USA will stop the hatred is do the following. (USA in the following statements means the government - not the people)

The USA must remove itself from other countries and let other countries live their own lives, and make their own decisions.
There will never be true peace in the world as long as the USA has bases in Korea, Iraq, Germany, Turkey, Japan, Philippines, Kazakstan, and elsewhere. All bases must be given back to the countries from which they were taken.

The USA must also refrain (that means STOP DOING) from interfering with other countries. Refrain from telling other countries what to do. Refrain from bullying them (sanctions is bullying - plain & simple).

And lastly the USA MUST STOP listening to foreign countries like Israel and start listening to its own people!!!

just answering the question; didn't read the text
it would be amazing if the USA would act as Christian as it purports to be
the golden rule and Christ's direction to love your enemy as yourself are not tools for the marketplace; America only claims to be Christian; actions speak louder than words

I think it is a remarkable idea.
But it starts in the minds and hearts of people first.
I think Prayer will change things and promote peace.
Love thy neighbor as thyself.
