well you could ask this of many different types of people, and then there are those who do not show what they are (social uniform) so i think it would be a tough one to police and discrimination at its worst! would it be fair to say not all chavs are law breakers and nuisances ??

I am not from the UK and gather that chav's are ruffians, hooligans, vandals and members of some type of gang whose sole purpose in life is to spread fear, chaos, smear walls in public places with excrement etc. Right ?
In China they'd be sent to some remote corner and not heard from for an entire lifetime. Or executed.
Same thing goes in Russia.
Some would suggest lobotomy
End of the day, if your laws are too liberal there is nothing much you can do , or expect to be done.
Education and improvement of the environment, youth programmes are good ideas...but can you get people to run them.? You need Rambo, Superman and Catwoman.

I read several UK papers every day and from where I sit in Arizona, man am I glad I live in the Wild West. Compered to the UK, everything is real peaceful around here. Know what we do with our chavs? Put 'em in a tent city jail out in the middle of the desert. Make 'em eat green baloney sandwiches and wear pink underwear. Out there in 115 degrees with no AC. Happened to been driving down Baseline Road near Mesa Drive, in Mesa Az (see Google Map) and there was a chain gang out there in striped uniforms, cleaning weeds and picking up trash. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is the best. Can you imagine how loud the EU Human Rights freaks would scream if their little darling hoodies were treated in this manner? Tagged and monitored? That's a joke in the UK. You already have all these murderers running around who can't be found. They were tagged at one time, no? No, my friend, your crime problem is gonna get way worse, a lot worse. Like I said, am I glad I live in the peaceful wild west. BTW, it is legal to carry a loaded gun on your belt anywhere but in a federal building here. I have several weapons I keep in my house, in my vehicle, and on my person. Lots of people do here. My little .25 Auto saved my life several years back. The problem for the baddies is, that old granny may have a 9 in her purse and may have qualified at the police firing range and have received a permit. You really have to have a permit to carry a concealed weapon here. So our bad guys think twice. Cuts way down on the crime.

Ive always wondered do chavs know that they are chavs. Is it like crazy people that think they are sane. I suppose if a chav was to look in the mirror and see white reebok classics, head to toe in burberry, a minimal education, a job in kwik-fit and a vauxhall nova sr parked outside their house then i think they'd probably notice.

a chav is a Ned .. a non educated delinquent could compare them to the mods and rockers or Ned's and goths etc etc they are the youth of today but like the rest of us (me was a mod) we grow up and most of us turn into respectable citizens but it seems Chavs are an English problem and not being English sure it will go away what or who is next

Minor, no pun intended, as the offences might be, in comparitive terms, far more damge would be averted where we restrict politicians and the army, who make the people you are critical of look like little alter boys.
Given that last point, maybe a wholesale restriction on Liberal politicians is required.

ahaha YES!! I know a few around my college and they always whistle at me just to take the mick, I don't honestley know one decent chav around where I live (which isn't a bad area) or anyone whose not a chav that thinks chavs are good people, get em awayyyyyyyyy!!!!!

Either we should herd them all into chav ghettoes where they can annoy each other, break into each other's houses, steal each other's cars, create noise nuisances and vandalise each other's property and get drunk/fight outside nightclubs to their hearts' content
WITHOUT annoying the "normal" people of this country
Or we should send them all the Poland. Must be getting a bit deserted over there now that all the Poles are over here.
