Anyone not white is considered a minority in the US. However they really arent the minority, black people. They are equal in numbers or maybe more now. They are still referred to as minority for reasons such as giving them priority when applying to colleges and jobs. It is the only way the government could come up with to payback black people for the years of suffering.
