terrorists hit your hometown, TOMORROW ??
Bombs exploding..., fires burning..., emergency vehicles everywhere..., dead relatives..., dead friends..., lost children crying and looking for their parents..., Cell towers overloaded..., power outages..., roads impassable..., and so on and so on...

Think my friends. THINK... ....

It's a very ugly, but REAL possibility..

What would you do ??

Dizz- As a former military man, and one who has studied warfare, I think it's inevitable. And closing one's eyes and ears to the problem is virtual suicide.

To pull off an attack is not that difficult. And our military knows this all too well.
And our president knows this all too well.

Ya see, if our people fight each other, then the terrorists are more likely to succeed.
And the spread of HATRED towards our President and Government is high on the list of the terrorists wildest dreams.

Beauty - Who the heck is Jonathon?
Sorry dear, but I think you've confused me with someone else.

Dizz - the port security issue is not one that can be logistically solved to perfection anytime soon. But if you think you can 'solve it', then I suggest contacting Homeland Security, the Democratic Party Leadership, the Republican Party Leadership, and anyone else you can think of. Truth is, NOBODY has the 'solution' for that YET.

You do whatever you can. I helped in moving debris to clear pathways for emergency crews and ambulances when it happened to me.

We saw this on 9/11 and obviously nobody would want this to happen again.

My question to you is - how likely do you think this is?

EDIT; OK, I can appreciate your perspective and I think we should be vigilant - there are things the 9/11 commission recommended that Bush hasn't even acted on (port security), but Bush has brought the hatred on himself. Surely you don't think he's been actively seeking compromise with Dems - no he writes signing statements saying he'll ignore legislation put forth by the congress.

I ask that question myself sometimes and it would be indeed ugly and therefore i don't think anyone can give a realistic answer as long if they're not faced with that situation.
I also wonder what I would do if i was born in a country where some nut jobs decided to become terrorist and the US would invade.Killing friends and relatives. Not deliberately but as collateral damage because the terrorist cowards decided to use our neighborhood to hide.

Considering those whores of Satan that caused 9/11 drove within a block of my home early that morning. Terrorism is very real to me even in rural Maine. If I could stop it I would give my life to do so.

I would be looking forward to the chance to get my hands on one of those SOBs. If they showed up in my town, I'd lock and load, Buddy.

I tried to make sure my little brother is okay then after that I really don't care. If he and me are okay then I know everything will be alright and we can survive.

is this how you want to live?
Fear is what you have come to accept because you choose it.
If you are so afraid go live in the mountains ,just don't water down My Countrys Constitution...I will come get you when the war on terror is over.
