No, but people get more and more lethargic, it is getting to be a necessity, instead of being an option.

What if you put the fan on a shelf that was not easy for your elderly mom or dad to reach? Do you think they would be considered lazy to have a fan with a remote control?

Well it becomes even more important when the person has vaulted ceilings because you cant reach the fan, I guess they could add really long strings to it but that would be kinda weird also when your just lounging around its kinda nice If you start to catch a chill while watching the game just hit a button on the remote and boom the breeze is gone or vice versa.

Do we need the Internet in our appliances - like a re-fridge and toaster? Do we need more video games? Do we need a place where kids can get all their homework answers without having to think? Do we need a vacuum that thinks on it's own?
America is full of "lazy" products. The technology behind the product is great, but the use for the product is a total waste.

I don't think I have ever heard of that. I have to think people have not gotten that depressed that they feel they need a remote controller for everything. And to answer your question a little more, NO. (at least I don't need one) the only people I would think need one is people who are bedridden and in wheel chairs.

My airconditioner has a fan and my little brothers think it's really fun to play with. If we are watching tv in the front of the room then we don't want to go to the back of the room to change it.

How about blinds? How often do you change speeds or open blinds? Multiple disc changers, don't you even get up to go to the bathroom? How many 2 hour movies can you watch without getting up?
