I'm a worrier, and I would like to know how soon you can tell when you're pregnant. I have a lot going on right now, and it would be good if I could find out pretty quickly whether or not I am.

Well, some women are different, because some women may even get morning sickness the day after sexual intercourse. Some wont have any til thery are 2-3 months pregnant. If its early in the pregancy you wont know, you have to wait at least 2-3 weeks after intercourse to take a pregnancy test.
But here are some early symptoms:
missed period
tiredness
sore/tender breast
frequent urination
discomfort to certain smells
morning sickness
dizziness/nausea
cravings

The earliest you can find out is by taking pregnancy tests a couple of days before you are expecting your next period. This is the earliest reliable way to find out. Although take more than one test as their success rate is about 95% so just incase you fall in the 5%.

Wait until 8-10 days after missing your first period, that is what the doctor told me, and then go to the doctor's office and get a pregnancy test done over there, they are more accurate then the store bought ones!!!!

I have taken a pregnancy test when I was expecting to get my period within a day or two. There are "early" pregnancy tests so you can do just that and be confident of the answer. When I have taken the tests, they have been accurate. You can find the tests any any pharmacy.

i took an ept test a week before I missed my period, it took about 2 min. for a positive result to show up, that was when I was preg. with my now 4 month old daughter

you left out some important details is your period late. what makes you think you might be. stress will cause you to miss a period. test after your period is late a few days
